The Department of Athletics established the Hall of Fame to honor the men and women who through athletics participation, coaching, service or support have distinguished themselves in the field of intercollegiate athletics, brought honor and acclaim to the university, and contributed to the success and advancement of intercollegiate athletics at Tufts. There are four distinct categories of candidates eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame: student-athletes, athletics department staff, coaches and teams. Former student-athletes must be at least five years removed from his / her final year of athletics competition at Tufts. Former coaches, administrators and staff must have served the university with distinction for at least five years and a minimum of five years must have passed since the end of the individual's employment at Tufts. Nominations are eligible posthumously.
