    Amherst Edges Men's Basketball In Elite Eight Action on Saturday Night With the game tied at 73 with 3:58 seconds left, the Amherst men’s basketball team scored 12 unanswered points to earn a 86-73 win over the Tufts men’s basketball team in Elite Eight NCAA Tournament action in Cousens Gym on Saturday evening. With the win the Purple and White advance to the NCAA Tournament Final Four in Salem, Virginia March 18 and 19.

    Men's Basketball Moves On To Elite Eight with 101-85 Win Over Johnson & Wales Behind career-highs in points from senior tri-captain Stephen Haladyna and junior Tarik Smith the No. 20 Tufts men?s basketball team blew past No. 12 Johnson and Wales, 101-85, in an NCAA Tournament Third Round game at Cousens Gym on Friday night. Haladyna finished with 30 points while Smith helped the Jumbos with 25 points in the win.

The Jumbos advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2005-06 season after winning their first two home NCAA Tournament games at Cousens Gym.

    Pace and Palleschi Lead Jumbos to Overtime Win at Pine Manor Sophomore Vincent Pace scored five points in the last 16 seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime, and junior tri-captain Tom Palleschi poured in 26 points and 17 rebounds with six blocks to help the Tufts men’s basketball team top Pine Manor College, 105-98, in overtime on Tuesday night at Bruneilli Court. The win was the Jumbos 18th of the season, which is the most for the Jumbos since the 2005-06 season.
