With spring sports in the middle of their seasons, it’s another full week in Tufts Athletics. Men’s lacrosse has a critical matchup with Bates on Bello on Tuesday night, baseball hosts UMass-Dartmouth for two on Monday and then Bowdoin for a three game series this weekend and women’s lacrosse will host Wesleyan in a vital NESCAC game on Saturday.
Spring finally arrived with some warmer weather this weekend, and Jumbo spring teams are fully into the swing of things. Men’s and women’s track and field will host the Sunshine Classic this weekend at home to highlight an exciting week for the Jumbos.
The hiring of Noel Wanner at Tufts University in January 2015 gave the Jumbo men's rowing program it's first full-time coach. Just two years later, the benefits are starting to show as a young Jumbo team readies for the 2017 spring season.
It’s a busy week for spring Jumbo teams, both on the road and at home including the coed sailing team hosting the New England Team Racing Championships on Saturday and Sunday at the Bacow Sailing Pavilion with four bids to nationals on the line for those teams competing this weekend.
It’s a huge NESCAC week for Tufts Athletics. Men’s and women’s cross country will run at the NESCAC Championships this weekend. Men’s soccer, women’s soccer and field hockey all face off with Bowdoin to wrap up their regular season schedules and then begin NESCAC Tournament play on Saturday. Football travels to Amherst on Saturday and volleyball will host Connecticut College on Saturday.
It will be another busy week on campus with many teams at home and Parent and Family Weekend this coming weekend. Football hosts Williams, as do women’s soccer, men’s soccer and field hockey. Both field hockey and men’s soccer have midweek tune-ups before their weekend match ups.
It was a quiet week at home but a great week on the road for Tufts Athletics and we will hope for another great weekend on the road this week! Volleyball and women’s soccer both play at home on Tuesday, but then volleyball is the only team home this weekend.
It's Homecoming week and it’s a busy one for the Jumbos. Men’s soccer, women’s soccer and field hockey all have three home games on the schedule this week. Football is at home on Saturday hosting Bates. Men’s and women’s cross country travel to compete in the prestigious Paul Short Run.
