Jumbo Men's Squash Perseveres for Second Straight Win, 8-1 Over Boston College

BELMONT - Five different members of the Tufts men's squash team came back from being down 2-1 to win the fourth and fifth games, helping the Jumbos take an 8-1 victory against Boston College at Belmont Hill School on Saturday afternoon. The win is the second in a row for Tufts (8-11).
The only loss came in the second match, where Jumbo freshman Alex Nalle (Philadelphia, PA) defaulted due to a sore hamstring and not feeling well. At the top of the order, freshman Zach Schweitzer (Huntingdon Valley, PA) continued his hot streak with great drives and fast hands to win in three games.
Captain Henry Miller (Philadelphia, PA) and Jeremy Ho (Reston, VA) continued their very steady and impressive week with victories at #3 and #5, respectively. Ho's win was the fifth to clinch the match for Tufts.
Freshman Hugo Meggitt (Princeton, NJ) at #7 displayed great retrieving and played some of his best drives and drops all season. He was one of the Jumbos to come back from down 2-1 to win in five. The others were sophomore Michael Abboud (Bronxville, NY) at #4, freshman Gordon Silverman (Phoenix, AZ) at #6, freshman Elliot Kardon (Weston, MA) at #8 and junior Andrew Meleney (Greenwich, CT) at #9.
Next up for Coach Doug Eng's team is the Nine-Man Nationals at Princeton next weekend (Feb. 17-19). The draw will be released during the week.
