    Tufts men’s squash rookie Aidan Porges took on Kah Wah Cheong in the College Squash Associations Individual Championships on Friday afternoon. Porges fell to Cheong in three games, but will not play in a consolation bracket.
  • Men's Squash Wins Chaffee Cup at CSA Team Championships Sunday

    The Tufts men’s squash team topped Connecticut College on Sunday afternoon, 5-4, to win the Chaffee Cup at the College Squash Association Team Nationals at Yale University. The Jumbos were 3-0 on the weekend in the Chaffee Cup play, opening with a win over Lehigh and topping NYU yesterday.
  • Men's Squash Earns Win Over NYU at CSA Team Championships

    The Tufts men’s squash team picked up their second win of the weekend, playing in the Chaffee Cup at the College Squash Association team Championships Saturday at Yale. The Jumbos won in the third through ninth positions to pick up the 7-2 win over NYU.

  • Jumbos Set to Play in College Squash Association Team Nationals This Weekend

    Both the men’s and women’s squash teams have been waiting all season for this weekend. The Jumbos will travel to compete in the College Squash Association Team Nationals hosted by Yale and Wesleyan this Friday through Sunday. The No. 24 Jumbo women will be playing for the Howe Cup in the C division while the No. 33 Jumbo men will look to win the Chaffee Cup in the E division. Here is everything you need to know:

  • Men's Squash Tops Vassar and Bard on Busy Saturday

    The No. 27 Tufts men’s squash team picked up two wins on Saturday afternoon. The Jumbos topped No. 33 Vassar, 9-0, and No. 32 Bard, 8-1. The men also took on No. 19 Wesleyan, but were not able to top the Cardinals, falling 9-0.

    The No. 27 Tufts men's squash team hosted Brandeis University on Tuesday night at the Belmont Hill School and the Jumbos blanked the Judges, 9-0. The Jumbo earned eight of the nine wins in just three games.

    The ninth seeded Tufts men’s squash team opened up play in the NESCAC Championship on Friday afternoon, taking on eighth seeded Amherst but falling to the Purple and White in the opening round of play, 9-0. The Jumbos will now play in the consolation bracket of the tournament.

Men’s and women’s track and field hosts one of the most competitive weekends in the Gantcher Center. Both men’s and women’s basketball have huge NESCAC weekends in addition to week day games this week. And men’s hockey will play two with Connecticut College this weekend.

    The No. 27 Tufts men’s squash team topped Boston College on Monday evening, picking up wins in all nine positions. Seven of the nine Jumbos won their matches in three games on their way to the 9-0 win.

Men’s and women’s basketball both have midweek contests and then a weekend match up with Bates. Men’s and women’s track and field will host the Tufts Stampede at the Gantcher Center this weekend.

  • This Week in Tufts Athletics: December 7 - 13

    With the semester wrapping up, things are getting a little quieter with Tufts athletics, but Jumbo teams will still be in action this week. Men’s basketball will host Plymouth State on Tuesday night at Cousens Gym. Women’s basketball will face off with Bridgwater State at home right after the men’s game on Tuesday and will then travel to Wheaton on Thursday. Men’s hockey wraps up their first semester schedule with a trip to Bowdoin and Colby this weekend.
  • Men's Squash Picks Up Second NESCAC Win of Semester by Downing Connecticut College

    The No. 26 Tufts men’s squash team picked up their second NESCAC win of the season, downing No. 25 Connecticut College by a score of 8-1 on Sunday afternoon. The Jumbos also beat Hamilton earlier this year, collecting two NESCAC wins this season, a feat that had not been accomplished in head coach Joe McManus’ time with the program.
  • Men's Squash Picks Up Win Over Haverford to Earn the Split Saturday

    The Tufts men’s squash team took the courts for the first time since before Thanksgiving on Saturday and the No. 26 Jumbos were able to earn a split, topping No. 30 Haverford, 6-3, but falling to No. 29 Dickinson, 6-3.

    After a busy holiday weekend many Jumbos teams will be back in action. The men’s hockey team hosts Williams and Middlebury in their home opener this weekend. Both men’s and women’s basketball have full weeks on their schedules. The men’s and women’s swimming and diving team will look to finish off a successful first semester at the MIT Invitational.

    Even though many will be putting big turkeys on the table this week, Tufts Athletics will not rest! Men’s and women’s basketball both have contests on the schedule this week. Men’s hockey will travel to Becker before playing in the Rutland Herald Invitational hosted by Castleton State this weekend. Men’s Squash takes on Brandeis on Monday night.

    The Tufts men’s squash team closed out a successful opening weekend with a 9-0 blanking of Brandeis on Monday night. The win was the fourth in a row for the Jumbos, who also picked up wins against Boston University, Bryant and Hamilton this weekend.
