Cary enters his first year as an assistant coach for the Jumbos after graduating from Tufts in 2016.
He came to Tufts as a sophomore transfer following a year at Trinity College and walked on to the team as a non-recruited player. At the end of the 2014 season, he was playing both singles and doubles for the Jumbos. During the fall season in both junior and senior years, Cary was ranked in the top 10 in the region for doubles, and he helped the team finish ranked 13th in the country during his senior year when he served as one of the captains. During three years on the roster, Cary compiled a 16-7 dual match singles record and a 27-19 doubles record.
After graduating from Tufts with a major in Political Science and minor in Sociology, Cary spent the last year graduating as a teaching fellow at Culver Academies in Culver, Indiana. He is a 2012 graduate of Belmont Hill School where he was on the team for three years. This included a league title in 2010, a New England doubles title in 2011 and an All-League selection in 2012 when he was a co-captain. Cary is from Brookline, Massachusetts originally.
