BOSTON - The Tufts University women's crew team had two boats in action on both Saturday and Sunday at the 45th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston.
On Saturday, the Tufts Collegiate Four rowed to 18th place with a 22:07.623 time. The Jumbo boat was coxswained by sophomore Sara Honickman (Rydal, PA) and included senior Lindsay Hull (Seattle, WA) in the bows seat, senior Alison Hodgkin (Norfolk, CT) in the two seat, senior Katherine Rosenblatt (Des Moines, IA) in the three seat and senior Jenna Lohmann (Greenwood Village, CO) as stroke.
Also on Saturday, the Jumbos competed in the Club Four race and finished 29th. That Tufts group included coxswain Maxine Lancelot, Sheila Davé (Hillsborough, NJ), two-seat Monica Mowery (McLean, CA), three-seat Molly Goodell (Lawrenceville, NJ) and stroke Erika Parisi (Westport, CT).
In the Collegiate Eights race on Sunday, Tufts was 31st with a 19:42.547 time. The Jumbo team was bow Lucia Smith (Salinas, CA), two-seat Barbara Franco (Madison, WI), three-seat Sarah Camitta (Wynnewood, PA), four-seat Georgia Gunner (Harvard, MA), five-seat Catherine Bowlus, six-seat Rachel Steward (Kenmore, WA), seven-seat Caroline Patterson (Toronto, ONT), stroke Catherine Breña (London, ENG) and coxswain Jordyn Wolfand (Bethesda, MD).
Tufts was also 10th in Sunday's Lightweight Fours race. Their time of 19:19.473 was rowed by bow Kathleen Holec (New Canaan, CT), two-seat Alisondra Maykranz (Jackson, WY), three-seat Bianca Velayo (Levittown, NY) and stroke Kaylee Maykranz (Jackson, WY) with coxswain Audrey Abrell (Valparaiso, IN).
