MEDFORD - Senior tri-captain Caroline Nowak of the Tufts University women's lacrosse team is on the Division III North roster for the upcoming Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2018 Senior All-Star Game.
On Friday the IWLCA announced the rosters for Divisions I, II, and III. The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The Division I teams will play the first game at 11:30 am, the Division II game will follow at 1:00 pm, and the Division III teams will cap off the event with their game at 2:30 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge. The games will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.
Nowak was a senior leader of head coach Courtney Shute's Tufts team which finished 13-5 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament this season. She was second on the Jumbos and tied for ninth in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) with 41 goals. She was named NESCAC's Player of the Week and one of the IWLCA's National Players of the Week in April. In Jumbo victories over Williams (14-11), Wesleyan (12-7) and Babson (17-6), Nowak led the way offensively scoring 11 goals with two assists for 13 points in the three games (4.3 per game).
With 90 goals in 65 career games during her four seasons, Nowak finished her career ranked among the Jumbo program's all-time top 25 goal scorers.
