Benji Wallace, Senior, Men's Track & Field
At a quad meet hosted by MIT with RPI and Bates on Saturday, Wallace cleared a career-high 15’9” (4.80m) to win the pole vault. The mark improved upon his previous PR of 15’5” (4.70m) and was well above his previous season-best of 14’11” (4.55m). He was nearly 20 inches better than the second place finisher at the meet. It’s the best vault by a Jumbo since Brad Nakanishi cleared 16’0 ¾” (4.90m) in 2012. Saturday’s mark ranks Wallace ninth nationally in Division III.
