MEDFORD - The 2018-19 winter sports teams at Tufts University placed 97 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Teams released today.
A total of 864 student-athletes were named to the 2019 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team by the conference office. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic standing and be in good standing on their team with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50. A transfer student must have completed one year of study at the institution.
The 97 Tufts honorees is fourth-most in the conference despite the fact that Tufts does not sponsor women's ice hockey, men's and women's alpine and nordic skiing and wrestling teams which are eligible to receive All-Academic honors in the winter.
