Men's Rowing Competes in Quad Event at Head of the Charles on Sunday

CAMBRIDGE – The Tufts University men's rowing team finished its weekend at the Head of the Charles regatta by competing in the Director's Challenge Men's Quad event on Sunday.

The Jumbos finished 18th out of 35 teams in the race with an 18:59.492 time across the three-mile course. Tufts was 22 seconds behind 17th-place Dartmouth (18:37.194), and six seconds in front of the Narragansett Boat Club four (19:05.206).

The event winner was a quad called Fruit Loops which timed 16:26.324, which won by over 25 seconds.

Tufts raced in three events at the 54th Head of the Charles this weekend. They were entered in the Men's Club 8+ as well as the Men's Championship 2x on Saturday.

The Jumbos will continue their fall rowing season next Saturday at the Head of the Fish Regatta in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
