Gorelik Plays in A Singles Championship Match at Wallach Invitational

MEDFORD – Sophomore Isaac Gorelik of the Tufts University men's tennis team advanced to the A singles championship match on Sunday in the annual Wallach Invitational hosted by Bates College.

Gorelik defeated Bowdoin's Evan Fortier in the semifinals earlier on Sunday 4-6, 6-2, 10-7 to advance to the final. There he was topped by Colby's Scott Altmeyer 7-6 (7), 6-3.

Tufts was in five semifinals overall on Sunday at Bates. Senior co-captain Ethan Bershtein and senior Ben Biswas both lost C singles semis. Sophomore Akash Verma lost a D singles semifinal on Sunday. In A doubles, the pair of Gorelik with classmate Paris Pentousis also lost a semifinal match.
