Mimi Mahon joined the Tufts coaching staff in the fall of 2017. She came to Tufts from DePauw where she spent two years at the Assistant Softball Coach as well as the Assistant Fitness Director and Assistant Strength Coach.
Prior to her time at DePauw, Mahon spent four seasons as the Oberlin College Head Softball Coach and led the Yeowomen to numerous school-records and earned North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2014. She came to Oberlin from Case Western Reserve University where she served as assistant coach in 2011.
A Cleveland State University graduate, Mahon played two seasons for the Division I Vikings, earning a spot on the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team in 2009 as she helped the team to the Horizon League title and secure a berth to the NCAA Tournament. Mahon was a true jack of all trades for the Vikings, capable of playing just about every position on the field. Her aggressiveness at the plate allowed her to quickly become one of the Vikings' offensive leaders, hitting for both a good average and good power.
Mahon played her first two seasons at NAIA University of Rio Grande where she led the team hitting .438 with 56 hits, 11 doubles and a team-high 38 RBI. She was a two-time all-conference and all-region selection before transferring.
