Ten Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-NESCAC Recipients is Most Since '13

Senior co-captain Evelyn Drake achieved All-NESCAC for the second year in a row.

MEDFORD – The 10 members of the Tufts University women's outdoor track & field team announced as New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference recipients on Wednesday are the most for the team since 2013.

The top three finishers in the individual and relay events achieve at the conference championships earn All-Conference status. The 2019 NESCAC meet was held last Saturday at Middlebury College.

Senior co-captains Evelyn Drake (hammer throw) and Kelsey Tierney (3,000-meter steeplechase) earned their All-Conference awards with second-place finishes at the meet. Drake repeated as All-NESCAC in the hammer throw after winning the event last year. All of the other Jumbos are first-time recipients.

Seniors Kylene DeSmith (100-meter hurdles) and Julia Noble (4x800-meter relay), juniors Lauren Diaz (4x8) and Rhemi Toth (4x8), sophomores Nkem Aduka (discus) and Jacqueline Kirk (high jump) and freshmen Kathryn Ezeoha (triple jump) and Tara Lowensohn (4x8) each garnered their award with third-place finishes.

Head coach Kristen Morwick's Jumbos took fourth place as a team at the 2019 conference championship meet.
