Jumbo Men's Squash Shut Out by Franklin & Marshall and Colby on Saturday

Freshman Alex Nalle played two competitive losses

NORTHAMPTON/AMHERST - Eighth-ranked Franklin & Marshall and #20 Colby College both took down the Tufts University men's squash team, 9-0, in action at the Amherst Round Robin tournament on Saturday.

In the the match against the top 10 Diplomats, senior captain Henry Miller (Philadelphia, PA) had the strongest Tufts performance in the #3 match. He lost 13-11, 11-5, 7-11 and 11-2. Tufts held their own in most of their three-game losses. Freshman Alex Nalle (Philadelphia, PA) was especially competitive in the #2 match, scoring 19 points.

The Jumbos lost four four-game matches against Colby. Nalle at #2 and sophomore Jeremy Ho (Reston, VA) at #5 both had 1-0 leads before losing the next three. Miller at #3 was tied 1-1 and freshman Gordon Silverman (Phoenix, AZ) at #6 won his third game before both lost. Freshman Elliot Kardon (Weston, MA) had an 11-5, 11-7, 13-11 loss in the ninth match.

Tufts continues its weekend at Amherst with matches against #26 Hobart and #21 Connecticut College on Sunday.
