Jeremy Ho's four-game win in the third match helped Tufts score the narrow win

CAMBRIDGE - The Tufts men's squash team improved to 4-0 with a tight 5-4 victory at MIT on Wednesday night. The Jumbos are the #29 team in the November 18 Dunlop rankings, while MIT (1-6) is #32.
Sophomore Hugo Meggitt (Princeton, NJ) had the most resounding win for Tufts, bouncing back from a 2-0 deficit after two marathon games. He ended up winning 14-16, 15-17, 11-8, 11-5, 11-7. Jumbo junior co-captain Jeremy Ho (Reston, VA) lost the first game in the third match before rallying to win in four.
Tufts' other three wins came in three games. Sophomore co-captain Zachary Schweitzer (Huntingdon Valley, PA) came out on top 11-7, 11-7, 11-8 in the #1 match. Freshman Aditya Advani (New Delhi, India) had the easiest Jumbo win, giving up 16 points in the #2 match. Freshman Brandon Weiss (Phoenix, MD) was also an efficient winner in the sixth match.
MIT won the fifth, seventh, eighth, and ninth matches, including Sunny Long's five-game (7-11, 11-4, 11-8, 3-11, 11-7) #7 victory over Jumbo sophomore Elliot Kardon (Weston, MA).
The Jumbos next play #15 Bates College on Saturday at Harvard starting at 7 pm. MIT also plays Bates next in the Boston Round Robin on Saturday.
