CAMBRIDGE - The Tufts men's squash team lost a pair of matches against Harvard and the Naval Academy on Saturday, 9-0 and 8-1, respectively.
The Jumbos, #29 in the Dunlop team rankings, dropped to 4-3 overall. Harvard is the #3 team in the rankings and the Naval Academy is #17.
Against Harvard, sophomore co-captain Zach Schweitzer (Huntingdon Valley, PA) won the second game of the #1 match before losing in four. Otherwise, the Crimson won each of the other eight matches in three games. Talented Jumbo freshman Aditya Advani (New Delhi, India) was competitive in the second match, losing by 11-9, 11-6, 13-11 scores.
Advani was the only winner for Tufts against Navy. He had an 11-9, 11-8, 11-7 victory over James Kacergis at #2. The Midshipmen dominated otherwise.
Tufts travels to Connecticut on Sunday for a pair of matches at the Wesleyan Round Robin tournament.
