Tufts (11-9-3, 8-7-1) had a good opportunity to narrow its deficit at 5:55 of the period when sophomore Cody Armstrong (Medfield, MA) skated up the left side on a rush and fired a wrist shot toward the far post. But Quattrocchi was there to make the save and preserve Hamilton's three-goal lead.

Ruberto's power-play goal put the Continentals ahead 4-0 at 11:29 of the second. After Jancaterino's shot from between the circles on a Hamilton rush was initially saved, Ruberto was there to pound home the rebound for his sixth goal. The Continentals led 4-0 at the second intermission.

The Jumbos had another good chance to get on the board with just over seven minutes remaining in the third period.
