PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The men's squash team fell to Brown University on Saturday by a score of 9-0. The match was the second of three scheduled matches on the day. The Jumbos took Bowdoin earlier in the day and followed the Brown match with a duel with Bryant.
Sophomore Aditya Advani (New Dehli, India) gave Brown the most trouble in the number one position, scoring 21 points in his three game loss to Blake Reinson. Junior Elliot Kardon (Weston, MA) moved up to the number two position, but was bested in three games by Jack Blasberg.
Sophomore Brandon Weiss (Phoenix, MD) took on Hoony Lee in the number three position, but lost in three games. Senior Jeremy Arronson (Amherst, MA) faced a similar fate in the number four flight, losing to Tod Holberton in three games.
Junior Jamieson Breig (Westport, CT), freshman Owen Elliott (New York, NY), and junior Philip Weiner (Needham, MA) were all topped in three games in the fifth, sixth and seventh positions, respectively. Freshman Austin Brush (Summit, NJ) scored 14 points in his three game loss in the number eight position. The Bears won by default in the number nine position.
The Jumbos will wrap up their Saturday action with a 7:00 pm showdown with Bryant. They will then be back in action after the Thanksgiving break on December 7 when they travel to NESCAC rival Bates for a 12:00 pm match.
