Box Score SAN JUAN, PR - The #4 Tufts women's basketball team rebounded from its first loss of the season with a strong 57-44 victory over Baldwin Wallace College Tuesday in Puerto Rico.
The Jumbos, who entered their pair of games in Puerto Rico with an 8-0 mark, suffered their first loss of the season against #6 Scanton (52-42) on Sunday. Today they pulled away from the Yellow Jackets in the second half to improve to 9-1. BW dropped to 7-3.

Tufts senior tri-captain Hannah Foley led a very balanced scoring attack with 10 points. First-year Lauren Dillon added nine points and four Jumbos scored eight. Sophomore Michela North and junior Emma Roberson both recorded eight points and eight rebounds in the game.
For Baldwin Wallace, senior Audrey Smolik posted game-highs of 14 points and 11 rebounds. She and sophomore Clara Lemmon - who had 11 points and six boards - combined to score more than half of the Yellow Jackets' points.
Tufts led 28-25 at the half and then outscored BW 29-19 in the second half. They led by as many as 15 (55-40) late in the game. The Jumbos limited the Yellow Jackets to 25-percent shooting (7/28) in the second half.
The Jumbos had advantages in all of the specialty stats. They posted a 20-10 margin in points off turnovers, led the battle of the boards 38-31, won 16-7 in second-chance points, received a 23-6 advantage in points off the bench and had an 18-8 total in points from the paint.
In addition to Dillon, eight points from sophomore guard Josie Lee added to the Jumbo reserves' strong showing.
Tufts returns home and hosts Regis College in a Saturday matinee at 2 pm. Baldwin Wallace continues their Puerto Rico trip with a game against Emmanuel on Wednesday.
