CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 28 Tufts men's squash team won two matches, but it wasn't enough as they fell to No. 22 Dickinson, 7-2, at Harvard on Friday night. Sophomore Imran Trehan and junior Sandeep Rishi were the two Jumbos to pick up wins.
With the loss the Jumbos drop to 8-3. Dickinson is now 7-8 this year, and their win over the Jumbos was their third in a row.
Trehan won in the eighth position in just three games over Samuel Portelance, 11-6, 11-4, 11-3. Rishi took the courts in the ninth position, and won a hard fought five game match over Charlie Fisher, 11-5, 5-11, 3-11, 11-8, 11-6.
Sophomore Alan Litman fell to Abdelrahman in the first position in three games, 11-4, 11-3, 11-6. Sophomore Brett Raskopf took the first game against Hal Holappa but ended up falling in four games, 6-11, 11-7, 14-12, 12-10. In the third position, junior Braden Chiulli fell to Andrew Strudwick, 11-4, 11-9, 11-7.
Freshman Raghav won the third game against Alexander Wattles in the fourth position, but ended up falling, 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 11-8. In the fifth position rookie Connor Wind won the third game as well, but ended up falling to Harrison Mayo in four games, 11-7, 15-13, 1-11, 11-8. Sophomore Cameron Ewan took a game from Cory Litman but fell, 11-3, 11-13, 11-8, 11-4. In the seventh position sophomore Aidan Porges fell to Vincent Warzecha, 12-10, 11-5, 11-8.
The Jumbos will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to No. 5 Harvard on Saturday at 3:15 pm.
