CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The No. 28 Tufts men's squash team traveled to No. 4 Harvard on Saturday afternoon, but the Jumbos suffered a 9-0 setback to the Crimson.
With the loss the Jumbos fall to 8-4 this season, while the Crimson improve to 5-0 with the win.
Sophomore Alan Litman took the courts in the first position for the Jumbos, but he fell in three games to Saadeldin Abouaish, 11-6, 11-7, 11-2. In the second position sophomore Brett Raskopf suffered a loss to Dylan Murray, 11-2, 11-7, 11-6. Junior Braden Chiulli faced off with Sean Hughes in the third position but fell, 11-3, 11-4, 11-4. In the fourth position freshman Raghav Kumar took on Alexi Gosset and suffered an 11-2, 11-7, 11-9 loss.
Freshman Connor Wind wasn't able to beat Mandela Patrick in the fifth position (11-4, 11-3, 11-2). Sophomore Cameron Ewan took on Theodore Mendez in the sixth position, but fell, 11-5, 11-8, 11-9. In the seventh position sophomore Imran Trehan fell to Jack Cooper in three games, 11-6, 11-4, 11-2. Junior Sandeep Rishi took the second game to extra points but fell to Gordon Michas, 11-1, 13-11, 11-7. Rounding out the Jumbos line up was freshman Frank Yandrisevits who played William Mendez in the ninth position, but fell, 11-8, 11-8, 11-3.
The Jumbos return to action on Sunday when they host Georgetown at 11 am and Boston University at 2 pm. Both matches will be played at the Belmont Hill School.
