Raghav and Porges Help No. 28 Men's Squash Edge No. 29 Connecticut College

BELMONT, Mass – The No. 28 Tufts men's squash team picked up a quality 6-3 win over visiting No. 29 Connecticut College on Sunday afternoon at the Belmont Hill School.  Freshman Raghav Kumar and sophomore Aidan Porges turned in big wins to help the Jumbos down the Camels.

Raghav Kumar's win in the third position helped the Jumbos win 6-3

With the win the Jumbos improve to 11-4 this season and have now won three in a row. The Jumbos have also won three of their last four against the Camels, as they split with the Camels last year during the regular season and then beat them at the end of the season to win their bracket at the College Squash Association's Team Nationals.

"Raghav had a breakthrough day," head coach Joe McManus said.  "He was very patient and consistent with this shots, which has been a focal point of our training with him."

Porges also picked up a big win for the Jumbos in the sixth position, as assistant coach Eric Lamsa said the 11-7, 11-5, 11-9 win was the "best match he has ever seen Aidan play."

The last Jumbo win came in the ninth position, as sophomore Matt Memmo came back after losing the first game to win in four over Winston Simone, 8-11, 11-8, 12-10, 11-4.

Freshman Connor Wind took on Michael Rodriguez in the fifth position, but fell 14-12, 4-11, 11-6, 11-7.  In the seventh position, classmate Frank Yandrisevits battled Benedict Osajie in five games but fell, 7-11, 11-8, 11-6, 4-11, 15-13.  Similarly in the eighth position, classmate Amun Sahrawat fell in five games to Louis Feingold, 11-9, 11-6, 6-11, 3-11, 11-8.
