MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The No. 28 Tufts men's squash team picked up a big 7-2 win over No. 25 Wesleyan on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Jumbos ended their first semester schedule on a high note with the win.

The Jumbos are now 3-2 after the win. Wesleyan falls to 2-2 after the setback to the Jumbos and a setback to Colby earlier in the day.
Sophomore Raghav Kumar won a hard fought battle in the first position, topping Sean Choi in give games, 12-10, 6-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9. It took four games for junior Alan Litman to win in the second position, downing Yahya Ladiwala, 11-7, 10-12, 11-9, 11-5. Sophomore Connor Wind was able to pick up a three game win in the fourth position over Jackson Rubinoff (11-7, 11-1, 11-4).
In the sixth position, junior Aidan Porges play three close games with Kevin Lee, but was able to win, 11-8, 11-9, 11-9. Classmate Cameron Ewan faced off with William Coburn in the seventh position, and needed four games but was able to deliver an 11-8, 5-11, 11-5, 11-6 win for the Jumbos. Senior Josh Lee allowed his Wesleyan counterpart to score just 12 points across three games in his 11-4, 11-4, 11-4 win in the eighth spot. Rounding out the Jumbos line up was rookie Daniel Hutt, who allowed his Cardinal opponent just nine points across three games, winning, 11-2, 11-2, 11-5.
Junior Brett Raskopf fell in the third position in a hard fought five game match with William Bienstock, 5-11, 11-9, 12-10, 4-11, 11-6. Freshman Salik Awan took the courts in the fifth position, but he fell to Alex Dreyfus, 11-7, 11-4, 11-9.
The Jumbos will now take a break for finals and the holidays and are back in action on January 10 when they travel to Stanford to take on Hobart.
