PALO ALTO, Calif. – The No. 28 Tufts men's squash team lost a close 5-4 battle with No. 25 Hobart on the campus of Stanford University on Wednesday evening. The Jumbos won in the sixth through ninth positions.

With the setback the Jumbos are now 3-3 with the setback. Hobart improves to 8-3 with the win.
Junior Cameron Ewan picked up a four game win for the Jumbos in the sixth spot. After winning the first two games, Ewan's opponent, Matthew Frantz, won the fourth game before Ewan pulled out an 11-6 win in the fourth game to pick up the point for the Jumbos. Junior captain Aidan Porges also won for the Jumbos, taking on Cameron Adams in the seventh position and needing only three games (11-7, 11-8, 11-5).
Freshman Daniel Hutt took the courts in the eighth position for the Jumbos and allowed his Stanford opponent to score 16 points across three games, winning 11-2, 11-7, 11-7. The last Jumbo win came in the ninth position as rookie Aman Navani downed Trevor Laing, 11-7, 11-4, 11-6.
Sophomore Raghav Kumar played in the first position for the Jumbos but was bested by Josh Oakley. Junior Alan Litman took the courts in the second position, but fell to his Stanford opponent in three. Junior captain Brett Raskopf played third but wasn't able to beat Terrance Rose. Sophomore Connor Win and freshman Salik Awan rounded out the Jumbos lineup in the fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
The Jumbos are back in action on Thursday when they face off with host Stanford. Hobart plays again on Saturday when they take on Dickinson at 1 pm.
