CARLISLE, Pa. – Junior Alan Litman and freshman Daniel Hutt picked up wins for the No. 28 men's squash team, but it wasn't enough as the Jumbos fell to No. 17 Dickinson, 7-2, on the road on Monday morning.
The loss moves the Jumbos record to 4-4 this season. Dickinson improves to 4-5 on the year with the win.
Litman picked up a four game win in the second position for the Jumbos, beating Hal Holappa 11-4, 2-11, 11-9, 11-7. Hutt took the courts in the eighth position, and after falling in the first game, came back to win a hard fought five game battle (5-11, 12-10, 11-9, 7-11, 11-9).
In the first position, sophomore Raghav Kumar took Finn Trimble to extra points in the first game, but wasn't able to pull out a win (12-10, 11-6, 11-7). Junior captain Brett Raskopf battled Frank Goossens in the third position, but fell in three games, 11-1, 11-5, 11-2. In the fourth position sophomore Connor Wind took on Cory Litman, but fell 11-6, 11-3, 11-5.
Junior captain Aidan Porges battled Tanay Murdia in the sixth position, but wasn't able to win it (11-8, 11-7, 11-4). Freshman Salik Awan took the courts in the seventh spot and fell to Harrison Mayo, 11-2, 11-8, 14-12. Rounding out the Jumbos lineup was rookie Aman Navani who fell to Osuman Imoro, 11-6, 11-7, 11-4.
The Jumbos are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Haverford to take on the host and No. 31 ranked Black Squirrels at 10:30 am and then No. 29 Connecticut College at 2 pm.
