STANFORD, Calif. – The No. 22 Tufts University men's squash team cruised to a 9-0 victory over the No. 44 Stanford University Cardinals, 9-0, on Wednesday evening. Head coach Joe Raho's squad are on a semester break trip to California.
The Jumbos improve to 3-2 on the season while the Cardinals fall to 0-5. This was the first match for the Jumbos in a month.

In the seventh match, sophomore Vaughan Siker allowed just four points to Standford's Erik Jones, including a 11-0 win in the second set. Senior Amun Sahrawat held Chris Adusei-Poku to just seven points in a three-set match. Sahrawat won 11-2, 11-3, and 11-2 in the sixth matchup. Junior Nicholas Magnani also held his opponent to less than 10 points as he defeated James Daniel Kelly, 11-3, 11-2, and 11-4 in the final match of the contest.
Freshmen Cyrus Illick and Shloke Sahay and sophomores Marco Rodriguez and Dillion O'Shea, allowed 10 points and 11 points each. Illick defeated Kelly in the eighth match by scores of 11-3, 11-5, and 11-2. Rodriguez, O'Shea, and Sahay found themselves earning three set victories in matches two, three, and four. Rodriguez and O'Shea closed out their matches with 11-2 set wins while Sahay earned a 2-0 set lead following an 11-1 victory.
Senior Raghav Kumar opened the contest with 11-6, 11-5, and 11-2 set scores for a 3-0 victory. Classmate Connor Wind earned a 3-0 win in the fifth set by also allowing just 13 points in his match.
The Jumbos return to action on Tuesday in a New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) contest at Bates. They are slated to start at 5 pm.
