MEDFORD, MA (December 4, 2022) -- The No. 16 Tufts University men's squash squad played a highly competitive match with No. 10 Dartmouth College Sunday afternoon at Tufts Squash Center, but in the end the Big Green were able to knock off the Jumbos 6-3.
Kerwin Teh followed his exciting win on Friday afternoon against St. Lawrence University with another one Sunday, using the momentum from that victory to defeat Christian Shah in three games 11-7, 11-7 and 11-9. Teh played a simple, beautiful game of squash, as he moved smoothly and pressured consistently.
Sanjeev Jeyabalan showed a ton of grit as he played through an injury to defeat Quintin Campbell 3-2 at No. 5, as earned the win with scores of 11-9, 4-11, 13-11, 1-11, 12-10.
Vivaan Jaikishan battled past Felix Feldman in five games, winning a very physical match 8-11, 13-11, 5-11, 11-9 and 11-6.
In other spot in the lineup,
Harry Charlton was topped 3-0 by Jack Bell 11-9, 11-4 and 11-2 at the No. 1 position. At No. 2,
Kunal Valia was right there with Mac Aube, but was knocked off 10-12, 2-11, 11-6 and 11-7.
At No. 4
Youssef Ezzo fell in four games, and
Oliver Eielson and
Jared Chin dropped straight set matches at No. 6 and No. 7. At No. 9,
Rohan Valia was knocked off by David Rubin 11-5, 11-8 and 11-5.
The Jumbos will be back in action Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m., hosting No. 17 Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the Tufts Squash Center.
