PHILADELPHIA – Sophomore Harry Charlton of the Tufts University men's squash team won a consolation round match in the Molloy Cup South Division at the 2022 College Squash Association (CSA) National Collegiate Individual Championships on Friday.
Charlton, seeded 11th in the Molloy Cup South bracket, lost is first-round match against sixth-seed Nicolas Serna from Dickinson 11-3, 12-10, 11-6 on Friday morning.
That put Charlton in to the consolation bracket, where he faced Colby College's Dylan Tymkiw in a round of eight match. Charlton won dramatically after falling behind two games, 9-11, 11-13, 11-5, 11-5, 11-8
The Jumbos' #1 player moves on to the consolation semifinals were he will face seventh-seed Arnaav Sareen from Cornell at 11:20 am Saturday morning.
The Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia is the site of the competition.
The Molloy Cup South Division is one of four tournaments being held this weekend (North, East, South, West) that represent the second division of individual players nationally. The top 16 individuals are competing for the Pool Trophy.
