This put the Jumbos down to 10 players for the remainder of the match. The Jumbos switched their formation around and were able to lockdown for the remainder of the first half keeping the score even 0-0 at the break.

Hamilton's best chance of the first half came in the 25th minute when they were awarded a penalty kick for a foul in the box. Pandelis Margaronis stepped up to the stripe for Hamilton and took the kick, but got under it a little too much as it hit off the crossbar.

As the 67th minute came about, Justin D'Alessandro for Hamilton stuck in a late challenge with his studs up, which earned him a red card. Both sides were now down to 10 players.

The only goal of the game would come in the 74th minute when Hamilton was working the ball around. It was played from Margaronis over to Luke Peplowski in the middle of the pitch. Peplowski touched the ball forward and from about 25 yards out he let his shot fly and it soared into the upper right corner of the net giving the Continentals the 1-0 lead.

The Jumbos battled and had some late chances to equalize, but were unable to find the back of the net and the match ended 1-0 in favor of Hamilton.

Hamilton put on the shots this afternoon totaling 23 while Tufts attempted 10. Hamilton also won the corners battle 7-5. Erik Lauta for the Jumbos made six saves in the game, where opposite him Ben Ziegler made four saves for Hamilton.
