MEDFORD, MA (January 23, 2024)The Tufts University men's squash team, currently ranked No. 12 in the latest College Squash Association (CSA) rankings, was able to roll past No. 16 MIT Tuesday evening inside Tufts Squash Center in non-conference play.
The Jumbos (8-3) only needed three games in seven of the nine matches showing how deep they are. At the No.1 spot, junior
Kerwin Teh was able to defeat Mero Elmarassy in three games 11-5, 11-8, 11-8. Senior
Harry Charlton had the quickest match of the night lasting 21 minutes, besting MIT's Philip Hyun Su Price 11-2, 11-5, 11-3. At the No. 3 spot, Junior
Youssef Ezzo earned his eighth win of the season besting Collin Wen in three games 11-4, 11-5, 11-8.
At the No.4 spot freshmanÂ
Nachiket Desai swept Robert Albani 11-4, 11-8, 11-4. The No.5 spot saw sophomore
Jared Chin continue to roll as he won his seventh straight match besting Nikhil Kakarla in four games 11-13, 11-4, 11-2, 11-6. The victory gives Chin his team-leading ninth victory of the season. At No.6 freshman
Rutva Samant defeated Mitav Nayak in four games 11-2, 11-4, 8-11, 11-7.
In the bottom ladder of the match, the Jumbos were able to win three straight game sets starting with No. 7 sophomore

Aarav Gill defeated Andrew Ding in 23 minutes 11-2, 11-2, 11-4, posting his fourth win on the season. At the No. 9 spotÂ
Rohan Bhatia defeated Jj Detweiler 11-4, 11-7, 11-3.
The Tufts University Men's Squash team will go back to NESCAC play Saturday, January 27, as they take on division rival No. 11 Williams College at the Tufts Squash Center.
