MEDFORD, MA (January 28, 2024) - The Tufts men's squash team posted a near-perfect outing Sunday afternoon shutting out and winning straight sets in 7 out of 9 matches against No. 20 Middlebury College. The competition took place in the Tufts Squash Center on the campus of Tufts University.
The Jumbos (8-4) were solid throughout each match during the day. At the beginning of the ladder, the Jumbos won in straight sets at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 spots. At the No. 1 spot, junior
Kerwin Teh was bested Nathan Feinstein 11-5, 11-4, 11-5. At the No. 2 spot, senior
Harry Charlton defeated Will Lichstein 11-5, 11-8, 11-4. At No. 3Â
Sanjeev Jeyabalan bested Caleb Boateng 11-7, 11-8, 13-11.
At the No. 4 spot, junior Youseff Ezzo won his match against Theo Kogan in straight sets 11-4, 11-5, 11-9. At the No. 5 spot sophomore
Jared Chin was able to capture his team-leading tenth win on the season defeating Kian Kardestuncer 5-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-6 RE. At No. 6 freshman
Rutva Samant won his match in four sets besting PK Keller 17-15, 6-11, 11-4, 11-5.
At the bottom of the ladder, the Jumbos won all three matches in straight sets. At No. 7 sophomore
Rohan Valia bested Gabriel Thin 12-10, 11-5, 11-8. At the No. 8 spot freshman
Aarav Gill bested David Zhao 11-9, 11-9, 11-9. At No. 9 freshman
Emerson Wang defeated Charlie Clifford  11-5, 11-6, 11-6 sealing the deal for the Jumbos.
The Jumbos will take on Bates College on Saturday February 3, at 3 PM, at the Tufts Squash Center on the campus of Tufts University.Â
