MEDFORD, MA (February 6, 2024) - No. 13 Tufts University men's squash team fell 8-1 to No. 4 Harvard University Tuesday evening at the Tufts Squash Center. Freshman
Aarav Gill was able to capture the lone win for the Jumbos.
Gill was slated into the No. 8 spot and he faced off against Conner Stoltz, Gill was able to defeat Stoltz in four sets 11-13, 13-11, 11-7, 11-7. For Gill, he earned his seventh win of the season. At the No.1, spot junior
Kerwin Teh fought hard in his match against Omar Azzam taking him to five games but fell short in the fifth set 8-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-3, 8-11.
After the first match of the day the Crimson (9-3) would go on to win the next six matches of the evening, they were able to win 6-9 matches in straight sets. At the No. 6 spot freshman
Rutva Samant was able to take a set against Jacob Lin before retiring from the match 11-7, 10-12, 3-11, 2-6 RE.
The Jumbos men's squash team finished the regular season 10-5. Sophomore
Jared Chin and Samant ended the regular season leading the team with 10 wins.For the Jumbos they will travel to Amherst, Mass. Saturday, February 10 to compete in the NESCAC Tournament Playoff. The Jumbos are the No. 3 seed going into the Tournament.
