KEENE, NH (October 4, 2025) - The Tufts University women's cross country team had a runner-up performance at the 27-team Keene State Invitational today in New Hampshire.
Liz Donahue led the Jumbos in fifth-place overall with a 21:44.4 time across the six-kilometer course. It's her second-straight top 10 finish including at the Purple Valley Classic on September 20.
Tufts, the #17 team in the nation, finished with a team score of 53 today. Second-ranked Williams College had a near-perfect team score of 17 to win the invitational. They had the top four finishers and the seventh-place scorer.
Tufts'
Katya Henisz scored second for the Jumbos with a 12th-place finish of 22:10.5. Next for Tufts was
Lexi Dean with a 22:18.6 mark that was 17th in the race.
Fourth for Tufts with another solid showing was
Deirdre Flanagan, whose 22:31.3 was 22nd overall. The fifth and final scorer for the Jumbos was sophomore
Zoe Margolies in 22:32.9, which was 23rd overall.
Samara McVey continued to establish her spot in Tufts' top seven with a personal-best 6K time of 22:34.3 which was 24th overall out of 288 finishers. Likewise, newcomer
Lily Simmonds was in Tufts' top seven again with her 22:49.7 mark today (31st).
Colby College was the third-place team today, well behind Williams and Tufts with a 104 team score.
