ITHACA, NY (November 23, 2025) -- The No. 11 Tufts University men's squash team played well in the middle part of the lineup, but couldn't string enough wins together as the Jumbos fell to host Cornell University 6-3 at Belkin Squash Courts Sunday afternoon.
The Big Red swept the top four positions, with Syan Singh leading the charge at No. 1 with a straight-game victory over Santiago Medina (11-8, 11-9, 11-5). Youssef Sarhan followed suit at No. 2, edging
Nachiket Desai in three tight games (13-11, 13-11, 11-7). Aly Ezzat and Edward Thng secured four-game wins at the No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively.
The Jumbos were strong at spots No. 5 through No. 7, as senior
Jared Chin earned a hard-fought, five-game win over Arnav Tevatia 11-6, 9-11, 3-11, 11-0 and 11-6.
Mustafa Ayaz defeated Daniel King 12-10, 11-8, 5-11, 9-11, 11-9 in a give-game thriller at No. 6, while
Aarav Gill knocked off Roman Bicknell 9-11, 11-6, 11-7, 3-11 and 11-6.
Jeh Pandole battled through five games at No. 8, overcoming
Ilya Kipkalov (8-11, 11-3, 11-9, 6-11, 11-8), while Vivaan Shah delivered a straight-game performance at No. 9, defeating
Shivin Kumar (11-4, 11-6, 11-5).
Tufts is off for 11 days before taking on MIT December 5 at 5 p.m.
