MEDFORD, MA (November 25, 2025) - Six Tufts University players have earned spots on the 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators organization (CSC). The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The Jumbos receiving the honor are seniors
Elsi Aires,
Aoife O'Reilly,
Anna Griffin and
Lena Sugrue as well as juniors
Reese Birch and
Maggie Rogers. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be an All-Conference-caliber player with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.0 scale). Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started at least two-thirds of the team's contests. Aires and Sugrue were both 2024 recipients of this award.

Martha Whiting's Tufts team that won the NESCAC Championship this fall. The Jumbos (18-1-3) were the #3 team in the final NPI rankings and have advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament "Final Four" on December 4.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. A committee selects certain Academic All-District® honorees to advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® awards will be announced on December 17.
