MEDFORD, MA (December 6, 2025) -- The No. 11 Tufts University men's squash team had no problems in front of a strong crowd on Alumni Day, dropping just two games in a 9-0 victory over No. 29 Conn. College in action from Tufts Squash Center.
In the first flight, sophomore
Ali Tarek rolled through at No. 8 with an 11-5, 11-4, 11-1 win over Ward McGill in his first action of the season.
Shivin Kumar was a winner at No. 6 over Andrew Nemphos 11-5, 11-2 and 11-1, while
Nachiket Desai helped the Jumbos jump out to a 3-0 win after three with an 11-3, 11-7 and 11-7 win at No. 2.
Senior
Jared Chin won his fifth straight match at No. 4 with an 11-4, 11-5 and 11-5 win over Noah Fish, while
Rohan Bhatia cruised to an 11-3, 11-3 and 11-2 win over Josiah Rondon in just 16 minutes.
At No. 3
Rohan Valia dropped the third game, but was able to come right back to clinch his match in four games with a score of 11-2, 11-2, 7-11 and 11-3 over Siddhant Rewari.
Mustafa Ayaz got back into the win column Saturday af the No. 5 position with a 11-6, 13-11 and 11-3 victory over Thomas Overton.
Rutva Samant allowed just seven points in an 11-1, 11-5 and 11-1 win over Arman Sana at No. 7.
The final win for Tufts came at the No. 1 position, as Santiago Media Carrillo outlasted Henry Pelletier 11-9, 11-7, 11-13, 11-6 to move to 4-3 on the campaign.
With the 9-0 sweep of the Camels, Tufts moved its overall match record over .500 for the season as it finished the first semester of action 4-3. The Jumbos are also 36-27 overall as a team in matches.
Tufts is off until the New Year, battling Colby College in Waterville, Maine January 9 at 2 p.m.
