CLINTON, NY (October 4, 2026) – The No. 18 ranked Tufts University men's soccer team put two goals on the board in the opening 18 minutes of action to cruise to a 4-0 win in conference play over Hamilton College on Love Field in Clinton, New York.
The Jumbos (6-1-3, 3-1-2 NESCAC), scored twice across two minutes and 29 seconds of game time early on in the contest and held possession in the opposing end for the majority of the first half. The Continentals (3-4-3, 1-4-2 NESCAC), were forced to change to a more offensive approach following the Jumbo goals, but were unable to find the back on the net before the end of the first portion of play.
Xavier Canfin headed home his third goal of the season in the 14th minute to put Tufts ahead, 1-0.
Ben Brown heaved in a long throw-in from the right sideline, finding a gap in the defense, and Canfin nudged it home off of one bounce.

Will Nicholas doubled the Jumbos' lead shortly after at the 17:16 mark of the opening half.
Henry Brown gained possession in the top of the box after causing a Hamilton turnover and dished the ball off to Nicholas, who fired a low shot over the leg of the sprawling Continental goalkeeper.
Tufts entered the break with a six to two advantage in shots on goal despite Hamilton leading eight to seven in overall shot attempts. Hamilton lead in corner kick chance four to zero.
The Jumbos extended their lead to three with just under 10 minutes remaining in the match to seal the win.

Ethan Jett, Jett and Brown then executed a perfect give-and-go that sent Jett flying towards the cage, and Jett sent a shot into the bottom left corner past the Hamilton netminder.
Bijan Akhtarzandi-Das fired home his first goal of the fall in the 87th minute, making the final result 4-0. Antic Made three saves to nab his fourth clean sheet of the season, while Akhtarzandi-Das was the lone field player to see the full 90 minutes of action for the Jumbos.
Tufts is back in action on Saturday against the Panthers of Middlebury College on Bello Field, kick off is set to start at 2 PM.
