CLINTON, NY (February 15, 2026) -- The Tufts University men's squash team posted a thrilling 6-3 win over Williams College in the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) semifinals Sunday to move into the finals against No. 1 Trinity College, but the Jumbos would fall in the title match 8-1 to earn conference runner-up status for the third straight season.
Match 1: Tufts 6, Williams 3
In the NESCAC semifinals Sunday morning, Tufts outlasted the No. 3 seed in Williams as the clinching point came at No. 7, thanks to a strong 11-8, 9-11, 11-4 and 11-9 win over Anden Boulan.
The Jumbos also got wins at the top of the ladder, as sophomore
Santiago Medina Carrillo knocked off Nick Agger 11-5, 6-11, 11-5, 11-5 at No. 1 while
Nachiket Desai bested Asher Leavy 11-3, 11-4, and 11-5 at the No. 2 spot.
Senior
Jared Chin fell behind early, but rallied for an 8-11, 11-3, 11-5 and 11-5 victory over Leighton Calhoun at No. 5. Tufts also got wins at No. 8 and No. 9, as sophomore
Ali Tarek topped Rafay Syed 11-7, 11-8 and 11-9 at No. 8. Senior
Shivin Kumar earned a key point as well at No. 9, as he was victorious with an 11-7, 11-9, 3-11, 11-4 victory.

Match 2: Trinity 8, Tufts 1
In the NESCAC Final, the Jumbos battled hard with the top-ranked Bantams, but Trinity was able to capture its 19th NESCAC crown with the 8-1 victory.
Despite the loss, Tufts showed well as it picked up a pair of wins at the bottom of the ladder as senior
Rohan Bhatia topped Zain Amjad 12-10, 11-5 and 11-8 at the No. 9 position while first-year
Ilya Kipkalov earned an exhibition win over Charlie Mullin 11-5, 11-5 and 11-7.
Tufts also picked up games in the each of the matches at the No. 2, 3 and 4 spots but were unable to chalk up a final victory.
The Jumbos have now taken a match off the NESCAC power in three of the last four outings.
Tufts will now wait for the final College Squash Association draws for the CSA Team Championships March 5-8 at Arlen Specter US Squash Center in Philadelphia, PA.
