No. 11 Tufts Men’s Squash Falls to No. 9 Dartmouth, 7-2, in Road Matchup

HANOVER, N.H. — The No. 11 Tufts University men's squash team battled a nationally ranked opponent on the road Saturday at the Berry Sports Center, with No. 9 Dartmouth earning a 7-2 decision in a competitive dual that featured multiple tightly contested matches. The Jumbos move to 10–5 on the season following the match-up between top-12 programs.

Tufts found success in the lower half of the lineup with two strong individual victories. At No. 7, Aarav Gill delivered a composed straight-games performance, defeating Felix Feldman 13–11, 11–9, 11–3. Gill controlled key rallies late in the first two games before pulling away decisively in the third to secure the Jumbos' first point of the afternoon.

The most dramatic match of the day came at No. 8, where Ali Tarek prevailed in a five-game thriller over Rohan Ray. After splitting the first four games, Tarek showed resilience in a pressure-filled fifth, edging a 12–10 decision to cap a momentum-building comeback and add Tufts' second team point.

Across the top of the order, several Jumbos pushed Dartmouth in closely contested frames. Santiago Carrillo claimed a game at No. 1 and remained within striking distance throughout his four-game match.

At No. 4, Milo Friedman forced a fourth-game tiebreak after leveling the match at one game apiece, while Jared Chin and Mustafa Ayaz each extended their contests to five games at Nos. 5 and 6, respectively. Both matches featured momentum swings and extended rallies before Dartmouth secured late-game separation.

Tufts now looks forward to the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Championships next Saturday and Sunday at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY.
