MEDFORD, MA (March 23, 2026) – Four members of the Tufts University women's fencing team have been recognized as 2026 United States Fencing Coaches Association (USFCA) Division III All-Americans.
First-years
Asher Boynton and
Layla Roy received second-team All-American awards in saber and foil, respectively. Senior
Karen Bei and first-year
Emily You were named as honorable mention All-Americans in the epee division.
The recipients of these awards are determined by an evaluation of their regular-season and post-season performance.
Bei, who was also honored as the Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC) Fencer of the Year for 2025-26, achieved All-American honors in all four years of her career. She was also earned honors as the top individual epee fencer at both the NIWFA and EWFC Championship meets, and was named to the NFC first team.
The national awards for Boynton, Roy and You come in their first collegiate seasons.
Boynton was the NFC Rookie of the Year, a NFC first-team selection and earned top saber individual honors at the EWFC meet. Roy received USFCA All-Region status after producing Tufts' top performance at the NCAA Regional Championships, and was also on the NFC second team. You had Tufts' top epee performance at the Regional and finished with an excellent .644 winning percentage (109-60).
