NEW LONDON, CT (April 11, 2026) – The Tufts University coed sailing team is in 16th place at the Thompson Trophy hosted by Coast Guard.
The opening day of the regatta on Saturday saw a large portion of the round-robin completed by all 16 teams. Most of the teams finished 12 of the 15 races today, including Tufts. The Jumbos did not win any of their races. Stanford is in first place with a 12-1 record so far.

The race committee will look to finish the first round robin on Sunday, and then ideally run a top-four round, a middle-eight round and a bottom-four round.
