MEDFORD, MA (June 25, 2026) -- The Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) announced its annual Empacher-Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) Scholar Athlete list, and 19 Tufts University men's rowing student-athletes were honored.
In order to be named a "scholar athlete", rowers and coxswains must have met the following criteria:
- Athletes from all IRCA Member Schools are eligible
- Athletes must be in their second year or more of eligibility
- Athletes must have competed in their program's top 3 boats during the current season or raced at the 2026 IRA Championship.
- Athletes must have, at least, a 3.50 cumulative GPA through fall semester.
The Jumbos saw 19 student-athletes earn the honor, as Lexi Acosta, Theo Balavoine, Peter Conard, Alex Flynn, Jamie Forman, Aidan Keusch, JT Machle, Mark Machle, Peter McCormick, Owen McKendry, Xander Mesires, Patrick Moran, Lucas Resnik, Maxwell Rosenberger, Seamus Ruiseal, Ethan Seidner, Hayden Stone, Harrison Sweet and Lev Tolkoff.
