Sixteen Softball Student-Athletes Achieve Easton / NFCA Academic Honor

MEDFORD (August 24, 2026) - Sixteen Tufts University softball players received Easton / National Fast-pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2025-26 academic year.

Announced recently, the honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership. Student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2025-26 achieved the NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors.

The sixteen Jumbos who received the recognition were first-year Francesca Colangelo, first-year Penelope Cross, senior Lauryn Horita, first-year Taylor Hurst, senior Haley Leimbach, first-year Ella Malin, first-year Ella McHugh, sophomore Malin Medeiros, junior Fallon O'Connor, junior Heaven Oliva, sophomore Amelia Perri, senior Kaitlyn Perucci, first-year Mack Seibel, senlor Madi Sewell, sophomore Kenzie Sturgill and junior Emma Wingate.

Tufts finished in first place for the NESCAC regular-season in 2026, and was selected to host an NCAA Regional at Spicer Field. The Jumbos completed the season with a strong 31-12 record.
