CASTINE, ME / BRANFORD, CT / CRANSTON, RI (September 12, 2026) – The Tufts University coed sailing team spread out across New England to open its 2026-27 season on Saturday. The Jumbos competed at the Harman Cup hosted by Maine Maritime Academy, the Harry Anderson Trophy at Yale University and at Brown University's Bears Invite.
At the Harman Cup, a New England Match Racing Championship qualifier, Tufts is fourth out of eight teams through Saturday's action. Sophomore

Sophia Corzine are in action for the Jumbos. Only four races were held on the day, with Tufts compiling finishes of second, fourth, third and fourth for a 13 score. Bowdoin College leads the regatta with a 7 score. Sunday's action is set to start at 9:30 AM.
At the annual Harry Anderson Trophy, Tufts is 12th of 17 teams after one day with scores of 93 in A division and 83 in B's for a 177 total. The A division team has senior skipper

The Bears Invite was a one-day, one-division competition where the Jumbos had three teams competing. Sophomore skipper

Sean Beaver finished in sixth place out of 18 total teams with an 83 score in 10 races. Junior skipper

Caroline Collins placed 10th with a 100 score. Senior skipper Devon Owen and first-year crew
Sophie Dart were right behind them in 11th at a 101 score after winning the final two races of the day. Host Brown won the regatta with a score of 50.
Along with the continuation of the Harman Cup and Anderson Trophy, Tufts will also be in action at the Harvard Invitational on Sunday.
