CRANSTON, RI (September 27, 2026) – Tufts University Coed Sailing competed at the Sherman Hoyt Trophy hosted by Brown University on Sunday and finished in 11th place.
Ten races were held in both A and B divisions among the 16 teams in attendance. Tufts tallied finishes totaling up to 110 in A's and 88 in B's for a 198 final score.
The Jumbo B group placed eighth in the final B standings. Senior skipper
Courtland Doyle handled the first through sixth B races, while sophomore
Pearse Dowd skippered the seventh through 10th starts. Senior
Cody Lamoreux was crew for all 10 races. Doyle and Lamoreux were third in the second race of the day for Tufts' best B finish.
For A's, Tufts had junior
Oliver Keeves skippering the first through eighth starts and senior
Wyatt Bischoff taking over for the ninth and 10th races. Senior crew
Reddin Kehrli was on board for all 10 A races. The Jumbos finished 13th in the division, led by Keeves and Kehrli taking a fourth-place score in the fourth race.
Connecticut College won the regatta with a scoring line of 40-51-91, just in front of runner-up Dartmouth (45-47-92).
