2010-2011: Leading individual point scorer for the Jumbos at the NESCAC meet, setting a team record in the 50 back (23.65) and splitting a lifetime best in the fly leg of the 400 medley relay (49.88)…Competed at the NCAA meet in the 200/400 medley relays, 200/400 freestyle relays, and the 800 freestyle relay… A school record was set in the 400 freestyle relay with a preliminary time of 3:03.05.
2009-2010: Testa competed and scored in the NESCAC and NCAA meets during his sophomore year…He was also accepted to Tufts University School of Medicine
2008-09: Swam a lifetime best in the 100 butterfly at MIT invite in February 2009, touching with a time of 52.55… Placed 3rd in the 50 back at NESCACs with a time of 24.04, just missing his time of 23.99 that made a school record leading off the 200 medley relay… This same 200 medley relay not only made a school record, but beat and still holds the NESCAC record with a time of 1:31.04 (Testa, Longhurst, Shields, Rood)… Swam a lifetime best in the 100 backstroke leading off the 400 medley relay at NESCACs with a time of 51.90, an NCAA B cut… competed in the 100 back at the NCAA meet, along with the 200/400 medley relays and the 800 freestyle relay.
High School/Club: 2008 graduate of Cheshire High School in Cheshire, CT. Coached by Fran Connolly at CHS and Sean Farrell while swimming for the Cheshire C-Dog Swim Club. Captained his high school team his senior year. Multiple-time All-State swimmer and Connecticut Class L State Champion.
Personal: Edward Joseph (EJ) Testa is the son of Ione and Joseph Testa. He has a brother named Joseph and a sister named Francesca.
