Before Tufts: Was on the indoor and outdoor track and field teams and the soccer team at South Burlington High School...was a four-time Vermont State Champion...was a captain of the soccer and indoor and outdoor track teams....was a five-time MVP Award winner...member of the National Honor Society...was on the High Honor Roll....winner of the Excellence in Social Studies Award and the Service and Leadership Award. 

Personal: Daughter of Amy and Bob Kakalec...has two siblings, Nathan (22) and Jane (17).
