Tufts Equestrian Club

Club Equestrian

Tufts Equestrian is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association (IHSA): https://www.ihsainc.com/home. We aim to get everyone to the barn at least every other week, though members are welcome to ride more often if they wish. Our competitive season includes most weekends in October, one or two shows in November, and several in the spring. Post-season competition typically takes place in March and April.

We hold mandatory weekly meetings every Monday night on campus. Lessons are with our coach, Alli Mitchell. Riders who make the team must complete at least six lessons per semester. Lesson packages cost $450 for six lessons. Students with financial concerns may be eligible for a team scholarship.

Interested in joining?
Come to our General Interest Meeting (GIM) in early September! Since we compete year-round, our competitive roster must be finalized by the end of September. Unfortunately, we cannot add new competitive members mid-year.
We do host tryouts, usually held in late September, and all the details will be shared at the GIM. No prior riding experience is required; we welcome riders of all skill levels!
