Here at Tufts Club Fencing, we welcome anyone regardless of how they identify. We compete in the Northeast Fencing Conference (NFC), the New England Intercollegiate Fencing Conference (NEIFC), and USACFC Nationals, often facing off against other East Coast club teams such as UMass Amherst, Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis, Brown, MIT, Dartmouth, and others.

Practice is held in Jackson Gym three to four times a week, and we welcome fencers of any skill level, whether you are brand new or have been training for years. You may come as many or as few times as you like; however, competition slots are given preference to those who show up regularly. You are not required to compete to be on the club team, but we encourage everyone to try!

Newcomers are allowed to join the club at any time, but if you are new to fencing, we encourage you to join at the start of the fall semester, where we will break down the three different disciplines of fencing (épée, saber, foil), the basics of footwork and other fencing mechanics, and how to practice and compete safely.

Practice times will be announced and posted every semester. We will also have equipment available for borrowing.
 

Our results from the 2025-26 season:

• Foil Squad (Jonathan Wun, ZC Findler, Elaine Liaw) earned 1st place at NEIFC Championships 2026
• Saber Squad (Connor Huang, Edson Luan, Alessa Cooney) earned 3rd place at NEIFC Championships 2026
• Three-Weapon Team 3rd place at NEIFC Championships 2026
• Sydney Guan (Women's Foil) finished in 9th place at the NEIFC Big One Tournament at Smith College
• 6-2 in the NFC season
• NFC All-Star Second Team: Evan Vezmar (Men's Epee), ZC Findler (Men's Foil)
• 2025-26 NFC Academic All-Conference Award

Our results from the 2024-25 season:

• Evan Vezmar (Men’s Epee) earned 3rd place and his A25 rating at the 2025 USACFC Championships at Penn State
• Men's Saber squad, consisting of Kyle Cheng, Connor Huang, Nick Sumner, and Josh Kessler, earned 3rd place in the team event at USACFC Nationals 2025
• Sydney Guan (Women’s Foil) earned 8th place at the NEIFC Big One Tournament at Smith College
• Men's Saber team earned 2nd place at the NEIFC Championships
• 6-1 in the NFC season, earning the team second place in the league
• NFC All-Star First Team: Connor Huang (Men's Saber) and Roddy Atwood (Men's Foil)
• NFC All-Star Second Team: Evan Vezmar (Men’s Epee), Josh Kessler (Men’s Saber), Aston Hartwell (Men’s Epee)
